Open Care at Homo Faber. Crafting a more human future

From 12 to 30 September 2018 at Fondazione Cini in Venice, Open Care participates in Homo Faber. Crafting a more human future, the first major cultural event dedicated to art and crafts in Europe, which promotes the values of excellence in the professions of creativity and craftmanship.
Main partner: Euromobiliare Advisory SIM

Promoted by Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship and conceived by a select team of internationally renowned designers, curators and architects, it is divided into 11 thematic pavilions dedicated to different materials and disciplines.
Open Care is entrusted with the conservation and restoration pavilion, inside which a real laboratory will be set up where visitors can view the different skills necessary to carry out delicate restoration operations. Main partner of the pavilion is Euromobiliare Advisory SIM. You will be able to admire priceless masterpieces and the mastery necessary to preserve them, protect them and deliver them to future generations. As a lively corollary to the intense laboratory activity, we will propose a calendar of appointments and in-depth talks on the themes of conservation, collecting, diagnostic investigations and the use of new technologies applied to restoration.
It is a unique opportunity for visitors to be able to admire closely the most representative examples of the activity carried out by expert restorers and to be able to interact with them, in a strongly stimulating and attractive setting.
