"SISTER (FLOWERS)" #PirelliHangarBicocca

#ChiaraCamoni - "Chiamare a raduno. Sorelle. Famiglia e fammiglia. Ossa di leonesse, pietre e serpenti."

Through her sculptural series "Sisters," artist Chiara Camoni creates figures with anthropomorphic and zoomorphic aspects, shaping and molding them with a mix of different materials: from polychrome terracotta to wax, from stoneware and porcelain to plant elements, up to iron, plastic, and found objects.

These figures seem to emerge from the unconscious, embodying primordial goddesses representing an ancestral femininity. Each of them possesses its own identity, which can be either ironic with a subtly hinted smile, or assertive with a branch resembling a scepter, but all encapsulate the concepts of sisterhood and solidarity.

The restorers of Open Care's Laboratory of Paintings and Polymaterial artworks participated in the success of the setup and took part in the conference representing the works.
